The recent deluge in Hyderabad, characterized by intense precipitation in areas like Jubilee Hills, Panjagutta, and Boduppal, signals the onset of a renewed spell of monsoon vigor across the Deccan plateau. This localized heavy rain precedes a broader forecast, indicating increased atmospheric instability over the region, demanding immediate attention to urban and rural resilience measures.

Forecasters predict Telangana will experience thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, up to 10 kilometers per hour, continuing until late evening today and persisting for the next three days. This weather system is primarily driven by a low-pressure area that has intensified over the South Central Bay of Bengal, influencing atmospheric dynamics across the southern peninsula.

Concurrently, Andhra Pradesh is also bracing for significant rainfall, with moderate showers expected in Rayalaseema and lighter precipitation along the Coastal Andhra region. Prakhar Jain, Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA), highlighted the presence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over North Tamil Nadu, contributing to the anticipated heavy rainfall across the state for the coming three days, with wind speeds potentially reaching 13 kilometers per hour.
